: Six Degrees
Gusterrhoids!
Our re-mix contest was wicked successful. We got 126 submissions from fans and people-who-just-wanted-to-win-a-thousand-bucks. I poked around on the Indaba website last night and realized that many of the re-mixes of “This Is How It Feels To Have A Broken Heart” were totally creative and shockingly awesome. Here’s one where the guy changed the chords and made it sound all Eleanor Rigby-y:
And this completely instrumental version is currently in first place:
And somehow this amazing dance party called “War Is Over” is lagging in
18th place:
Get in there and vote before December 13th people, there is justice to be served. There is a 1000 dollar grand prize on the line.
There are Guster merch packs to be won. Our band is a goddam game show.
VAIL IS TOMORROW, TOMORROW IS VAIL
If you’re wondering what the low temperature in Vail CO is Thursday night, it’s six. Six degrees. If you’re wondering how The
Thundergod is going to play on an outdoor stage that night, with his bare hands, I am wondering the same thing. Come witness
the masochistic spectacle, it’s free.
Meanwhile, a super-proper Colorado show is on the books for March 8th in Denver. Guster with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra is an event not to be missed. An hour and a half of Guster rarities, performed by our band, backed by a fantastic orchestra. Tickets are available now.
GIVE GUSTER MERCHANDISE FOR XMAS, AND ESPECIALLY FOR HANNUKAH
There’s a special deal going on over at our merchandise page. Get 25% off when you spend $50 or more on our t-shirts, cd’s, posters, etc… enter the code DREIDEL when you check out. See what we did there? We’re pushing the Hannukah angle after blatantly neglecting the Chosen People with our “Ugly Christmas Sweater” contest in November. Here’s who won that contest, and is headed to Vail tomorrow, by the way:

ONE FINAL SEASONAL THOUGHT
‘Tis the season to promote your holiday tunes. While I wish we had our old Holiday Medley from the Orpheum in Boston available for public consumption (I remember landing on “Grandma Got Runover By A Reindeer” for an uncomfortably long time), we do have a couple of seasonal bits on iTunes. Our cover of “Donde Esta Santa Claus” and Ryan Miller’s “Tiny Tree Christmas,” which I hear during football game breaks these days. Consume them!
Happy holidays!
