Guster would probably qualify as a headlining act and it looks like the headliners (Dave Matthews Band, Trey Anastasio, Jack Johnson, Allman Brothers, Black Crowes) are all set. Don't get me wrong though, I'd love nothing more than to see Guster and Wilco.   Top

crazycongas24 Apr-04-05, 02:12 PM (EST) 5. "RE: Bonnaroo" I'm not getting my hopes up...but it'd be nice. I'd have to diagree though about Guster being a headlining act. They weren't a headlining act last year, and though they made it on the Bonnaroo 2004 CD, I highly doubt that'll get them in headliner status this time around. Guster is more on the lines of O.A.R. in terms of popularity, and O.A.R. definitely does not hold headline status. Headline status at Bonnaroo is for acts that can attract fans by the masses, and though Guster does sell out shows at mid-size/large clubs and concert halls, they're not quite at that "arena" status. - Dave me: http://www.myspace.com/dave24   Top

I think geography has more to do with it than anything. They seem to attract plenty of people when they play in Boston, but I don't think they'll ever come close to that in Tennessee, even at Bonnaroo.   Top

I emailed em a while ago just for the hell of it about that Press Your Luck scandel that Brian was talking about in the journal and asked about Bonnaroo as well ... got an email back not too long ago saying that they most likely wont this year, but they are looking to possibly do it in '06. ~Chris   Top
