ok, so i've seen these "flac" files recently on archive.org... and i know that I can download the "flac" plug in for winamp so i can play the "flac" files. now, here's my situation: when i went to install the plug in, i got a message that said it had an extension type that could damage my system and it asked me if i wanted to open it anyway. i got scared and said no.
does anyone know if there is the potential for bad, scary things to happen to my computer by installing this "flac" plug-in, or is this just a typical cover-all warning that probably won't result in any harm to my computer?
i'm not usually this timid about installing stuff on my system, but i figured this was a good place to pose my question.
maybe i'll start calling them "flac of seagull" files...
thanks in advance!
